Does MultiPlan cover rehab at Bliss Recovery in the Hollywood Hills

Does MultiPlan Cover Rehab?

MultiPlan doesn't pay for rehab itself, but if your health plan uses the MultiPlan network, rehab can be covered when your plan finds the care medically necessary and approves it. Bliss Recovery is in-network with MultiPlan, and our admissions team can verify your MultiPlan benefits at no cost before you commit to anything.

COVERAGE OVERVIEW

What MultiPlan Plans Can Cover for Addiction Treatment

Many health plans that use the MultiPlan network include behavioral health benefits for substance use disorder treatment. When care is medically necessary, those benefits can reach across the full continuum, from medically supervised withdrawal to outpatient programming.

Your health plan, not MultiPlan, approves each level of care. Higher levels usually need prior authorization, and approvals tend to come in set increments with reviews as treatment moves forward.

Care for Co-Occurring Conditions

Behavioral health benefits generally extend to mental health care, so dual-diagnosis treatment may fall under the same benefit when both conditions are documented. We treat addiction alongside depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other conditions in one integrated plan.

How MultiPlan Works and What You Might Pay

MultiPlan is a PPO network, not an insurance company. Insurers, employer health plans, and plan administrators contract with MultiPlan so their members can see network providers at negotiated rates. Its parent company now operates as Claritev, but the MultiPlan name still appears on many member ID cards.

MultiPlan doesn't decide what's covered or pay claims. Your insurer or plan administrator sets your benefits, reviews medical necessity, and handles authorizations, which is why the same MultiPlan logo can sit on two very different plans.

In-network care generally keeps out-of-pocket costs lower. You may still owe a deductible, copays, or coinsurance depending on your plan, and we'll walk you through all of it once your verification comes back.

Bliss Recovery isn't in-network with HMOs or Medi-Cal. If your plan doesn't route behavioral health care through MultiPlan, we also work with most major PPO plans on an out-of-network basis.

What to Have Ready

You bring:

  • Your insurance card, front and back
  • The subscriber's full name and date of birth
  • Your employer or group name, as it appears on your card
  • The insurer or plan administrator listed alongside the MultiPlan logo
  • The level of care you're considering, if you know it
  • A brief treatment history, including current medications and past programs

We handle the clinical assessment, treatment plan, provider details, and the authorization request itself. For packing and arrival, our guide on what to bring to treatment covers the rest.

If an Authorization Is Denied or Delayed

You can appeal a denial. Your denial letter explains how and by when, and most plans give you at least 180 days to file.

We'll gather records and clinical notes to support the appeal, and we can request a peer-to-peer review between our medical team and the plan's reviewer. If a delay affects your safety or medical stability, we can ask for an expedited review.

Why MultiPlan Members Choose Bliss Recovery

Our care is small, private, and shaped around you. Every plan starts with a personalized assessment and moves between levels of care based on clinical need, not a set calendar.

  • Discreet residential care means small residences, no clinical signage, and confidential admissions from the first call
  • One clinical team runs detox, residential, PHP, and IOP, so stepping down never means starting over
  • Trauma-informed dual-diagnosis care pairs EMDR and Brainspotting with individual psychotherapy
  • Hands-on insurance support means our admissions team works directly with your plan while you focus on getting ready
  • Our medical and psychiatric team works alongside your therapists, so care for both conditions stays coordinated

If you're weighing settings, our guide to the difference between standard and luxury rehab programs lays out what actually changes day to day.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Bliss Recovery accept MultiPlan?

Yes. Bliss Recovery is in-network with MultiPlan at the plan level. Whether your plan uses the MultiPlan network for behavioral health, and what it covers, is confirmed through a free benefits verification.

Is MultiPlan my insurance company?

No. MultiPlan is a PPO network your insurer, employer plan, or plan administrator uses to reach contracted providers. Your insurer or administrator handles benefits, authorizations, and claims.

Will I pay anything out of pocket with MultiPlan?

Possibly. Depending on your plan, you may owe a deductible, copays, or coinsurance. In-network care usually costs less than out-of-network care, and we'll explain your cost-share once verification comes back.

Does my plan require prior authorization for rehab?

Most plans require prior authorization for detox, residential, and PHP, and some require it for IOP. Our admissions team submits the clinical documentation for you.

How long does prior authorization take?

Timing depends on your plan and the level of care, and urgent requests are usually reviewed faster than routine ones. We'll keep you updated while your plan reviews the request.

Does MultiPlan cover dual-diagnosis treatment?

Many plans that use the MultiPlan network include mental health benefits, so co-occurring conditions may be covered when both are documented. Our guide on why treating only the addiction doesn't work explains how integrated care fits together.

What if my plan isn't in-network with Bliss Recovery?

We aren't in-network with HMOs or Medi-Cal. Many PPO plans still offer out-of-network benefits, and we can check yours at no cost.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. Benefits checks and admissions conversations are confidential, and we share your information with your plan only as needed to verify benefits and request authorization.
